Domestic and International TV Distribution

Overview

PDGC redesigned CBS’s existing PDS rights management system and implemented a custom title availability reporting system utilizing a custom version of PDGC’s CCAE software suite. Licensing modules were redesigned to support new contract paradigms and rights including complex license carveouts, and non-linear catch-up rights in numerous forms.

B2B Asset & Content Management

Overview

PDGC developed a Digital Asset Management and Content Management system for three different business divisions to offer a common storefront for ViacomCBS distribution customers to browse digital content and access marketing/promotional materials. PDGC owned and managed the design, development, implementation, and QA of all new and upgraded application components. This includes creating APIs to migrate legacy assets to OTMM (OpenText Media Management), building a modern Security Authorization module, and building a web interface with modernized UI/UX.

Film & Television Distribution

Overview

To provide near real-time contract validation and availability reporting, PDGC installed its cloud-based CCAE application suite to augment Fox’s contract management system and manage its multi-billion-dollar distribution business. Additionally, enterprise messaging services were built out to connect product, rights, release, and scheduling metadata throughout the organization.

Digital Transformation

Overview

PDGC has owned the entirety of Sesac’s Digital Transformation project from requirements gathering, UX design, application design, development, testing facilitation, and deployment. The project includes updating the Licensee, Affiliate, and public website experience to best-of-breed technologies and UX design. A full-stack implementation - everything from UX to backend, royalty management, song catalog management, payment processing, authentication, and ETL has been re-designed to provide a better user experience on a new tech stack at a lower run cost.

Overview

PDGC helped to program manage and provide advisory services for the implementation of Cemco's industry-specific ERP, assisting with stabilizing the system from both a performance and utility perspective. Mulesoft Migration

Overview

PDGC is providing project management and integration expertise to define the overall project roadmap and manage a team of developers through the assessment of hundreds of microservices supporting critical sales and service functions of ATT.com to identify performance and design improvement opportunities. The objective is to enhance the overall customer experience and increase sales by improving performance, reliability, and time to deliver new features. An additional output of the assessment is to provide a Mulesoft onboarding/migration strategy for the microservice-based APIs to support API discoverability and reusability across the enterprise.

DIRECTV Advanced Advertising

Overview

PDGC designed and oversaw a complete re-architecture of the DIRECTV satellite advertising platform, which more than doubled the number of ads that could be targeted to customers and brought down the amount of required lead time to play out a targeted ad from 24 hours to under 4 hours. This re-architecture enabled DIRECTV to enter the advertising interconnect managed by Comcast/NCC which doubled DIRECTV's yearly advertising revenue. PDGC also designed and developed two critical applications in the advertising platform and built out real-time alerting and reporting dashboards used by the 24/7 advertising operations teams. PDGC continues to lead incremental architectural changes for the satellite platform and is also assisting in architecting the next-generation advertising platform for streaming services such as DIRECTV NOW.

AT&T TV and HBO MAX Technical Support

Overview

PDGC led the functional analysis, technical design, and implementation of web applications used by agents to support AT&T TV and HBO Max. For AT&T TV, PDGC enhanced ReactJS based agent portals and Java/Spring microservices to pull in and render STB hardware and home internet diagnostics. These diagnostics were supplemented with technical support procedures, driven by Nokia SMP workflows. For HBO Max, similar agent portals were enhanced to support customer issues related to AT&T packages and offerings of HBO Max, eligibility rules, pricing, and provider-based authentication on the HBO Max app. These efforts were complemented with real-time analytics and reporting to gather insights on support case management and agent effectiveness.

Overview

PDGC fully migrated the DIRECTV TV / VOD Guide metadata pipeline to the cloud. This included movie poster images, celebrity headshot, aggregated guide schedules & celebrity biographies over a satellite using Kafka, Couchbase, GoLang, & Kubernetes.

Overview

PDGC built a Business Intelligence tool that provides high-value dashboards to ATT Advertising business stakeholders as well as Tech Ops. It allows users to drill down and slice and dice across huge volumes of historical ad performance and customer behavior events. In addition to creating an actionable, centralized data lake for all things ad-related, its main value resides in providing predictive algorithms that leverage big data and Spark distributed computing, which allows users to visualize the predicted performance of upcoming advertising campaigns.
