At PDG Consulting, we understand that user experience is an essential part of the software development life cycle. This principle is applied to both consumer products and business applications. By placing a high level of importance on how a user interacts with your products, you can maximize customer engagement and promote operational efficiency.

Our UI/UX Design Process:

UX Research

Application design begins with the discovery of who your customers are, how and when they will utilize your product, and what results they are looking to achieve with it. This fundamental information forms the basis for designing a successful user experience.

UX Strategy

The strategy dictates how the UI design will work and what is required for its development. Wireframes are used to align both user needs and the overall product vision, along with the technical capabilities of the end product.

User Interview

During concept development, a user interview is conducted to help inform UI design decisions that will influence the entire application design. These interviews provide information specific to those who will use your software and generate a high level of insight.

Visual Research

The visual research stage is intended to inform the UI design. This means looking at common design styles from competing organizations within your industry and identifying strengths, weaknesses, and other information to aid in the development of an enhanced solution.

Visual Direction

Everything from icons and buttons to typography and color schemes is designed to tailor the experience to your specific customers and increase engagement. Any standards that your organization has in place will be followed closely to ensure continuity.

Music Rights Management

Overview

PDG designed and developed the enterprise web application, site flow, and customer-facing storefront for the Magic music rights management system. Magic tracks all publisher and master rights that a studio owns for original scores for its films and television shows. Cue management for features and television episodes allows potential 3rd party licensees to easily find music heard in a production and ensures producers have a comprehensive view of all music used in any production – including licensed songs and/or scores. The core engine also drives an external licensing platform where outside filmmakers can license the original music written for the project.
