Organizations, particularly in the media and entertainment space, need reliable platforms that manage the rights to their content in order to maximize licensing revenue in a secure manner. These platforms need to ensure prospective licensing deals do not conflict with existing licensing agreements. Rights must be analyzed across territories, terms, deal types, content types, languages, among a number of other levels. At PDG Consulting, we understand the complexities inherent in rights management. We help organizations streamline their licensing processes by providing centralized solutions that automate the complex tasks, allowing sales teams to focus on client relations.
What Do Rights Management Services Look Like at PDG?
Inventory Management
Rights management starts by understanding what content is available for licensing or sale. Whether it is TV shows, movies, or music, a rights management system must have a complete inventory of the content available for sales teams to offer clients.
Rights Availability & Conflict Checks
Organizations should have a clear picture of their content that is currently available for licensing. When prospective licensing agreements are proposed, the terms of the agreement must be compared to all existing agreements to ensure there are no contractual conflicts. PDG designs our rights management systems to instantaneously compare millions of data points and communicate these avails and conflicts to sales teams.
Secure Sharing
Studios and other organizations may want potential licensees to view available content using third-party accessible platforms. Our software solutions can automatically track rights that a particular company owns and makes it easy for interested parties to license the content.
Usage Monitoring
Within a centralized dashboard, organizations can monitor actions such as sharing and usage, as well as view automated reports that help to prevent media rights from being compromised. In fact, we developed our CCAE product specifically to manage the rights and availability of media content.
Access & Use
Users must be limited in the data they can view and the tasks they can perform. Tasks such as viewing, copying, editing, approving, or a combination may be unavailable depending on privileges set by the administrator.
