PDG has designed, developed, enhanced, and provided support for multiple conflict check and availability (avails) solutions at major studios. Conflict check and avails calculations are some of the most complex components of distribution systems involving a number of significant challenges including performance, hierarchical data, exclusivity carve-outs, adapting to licensing changes, and providing useful results that allow sales teams to maximize opportunities. Based on our extensive experience in this area and our knowledge of the TV distribution business, PDG has developed a conflict check and avails solution that addresses all of these challenges.
